Steps to update Android 4.1.2 XXLSZ Jelly Bean firmware on Galaxy Note N7000 Smartphone

Step-1

Download Android 4.1.2 N7000XXLSZ Jelly Bean update firmware in ZIP file format and extract it on the computer.

Download Odin v1.85 tool in ZIP format and extract it.

Step-2

Switch off the Galaxy Note Smartphone and boot it into download mode. To do it, press and hold the Volume Down, Home and Power buttons at the same time for few seconds. Then you will see Android sponsored the robot along with the triangle on the screen. It is called download mode.

Step-3

Launch ODIN tool on the computer. Plug the USB cable to the computer and Galaxy Note Smartphone within download mode. As soon as the Smartphone is connected effectively then ID: COM boxes will convert in yellow as well as display connected COM port number. This process will finish about 10-15 minutes.

Step-4

Next, select the following files one by one from extracted firmware folder of N7000XXLSZ.

Click on PDA option and select CODE named file

Click on Phone option and select MODEM titled file.

Click on CSC option and select CSC named file.

Click on PIT and select the .pit file.

Note – you should not be afraid of the last three steps due to missing some files.

Step-5

In ODIN window, check the box of Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time options.

Step-6

Next, click on Start button in ODIN window to start the installation process. It will finish after few minutes.

Step-7

Once the installation procedure is done, the Samsung Note device will reboot automatically. Then home screen will boot with updated Android 4.1.2 XXLSZ Jelly Bean firmware.

To check installed and running new version, go to settings and tap on About Phone option.
