Galaxy Mini 2 S6500D How to update Android 4.2.2 CM10.1 Jelly Bean Custom Firmware

The new Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean supported custom ROM  is present for  Samsung Galaxy Mini 2 S6500D model.  It has been developed by CyanogenMod developers team.  It is unofficial Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean custom ROM.

Caution

This custom ROM is only for Galaxy Mini 2 S6500D model. Don’t try it on any other Galaxy Android device. In addition, we or the developers of this custom ROM are not to seem guilty in case if your device becomes dead or damage according to given following tips on this page. We recommend that start the process of custom ROM installation at their personal risk.

Pre-requisite 

• Install Galaxy USB driver on your computer. So, download it.
• Backup to all required data of your Galaxy S6500D device to your memory card. Otherwise, you may lose such data during the update process.
• Enable USB debugging mode to your Galaxy S 6500D Android device under the settings menu.
• Confirm that your Galaxy Android device should have charged fully before starting custom ROM installation.

How to Install Galaxy Mini 2 S6500D Android 4.2.2 CM10.1 Jelly Bean Custom Firmware:

 

Step 1

At first, download both essential zip files to your computer.

Download CM10.1 Android 4.2.2 ROM

Google Apps

Step 2

Next, connect your Galaxy Mini S 6500 D device to the computer through the USB cable.

Step 3

Now copy the both downloaded Android 4.2.2 ROM zip and Google Apps zip files only (see in step-1) to root folder of memory card.

Step 4

Power off your Galaxy S6500D device and remove the USB cable from the computer.

Step 5

Then boot it into the recovery mode. To do so, push and hold the three buttons (volume up, home and power) jointly.

Step 6

Inside the recovery mode screen, at first, you have to do a method of data clean. During this process, it will delete every data from the device quickly.

Then scroll down to get “flash zip from SD card” menu and push the Power button to choose it. Next, a new confirm screen will prompt on the screen. Then press the Power button another time and select “choose zip from sdcard” menu.

Step 7

Now select both volume buttons (down/up) to find Android 4.2.2 ROM zip file from your memory card’ root folder and select it by the Power button. At this time, you will get confirmation related pop-up box on the next screen. Next verify it and the installation procedure should begin instantly.

Remark

Repeat this similar step for selecting the Google Apps zip file from your memory card.

Step 8

Once the process of custom ROM installation completed, go to “+++++Go Back” menu. Here, you will have to reboot the Android device by selecting “reboot system now” menu from the recovery mode screen.

Now Galaxy Mini S 6500 D device will start to home screen of just installed custom ROM around 5 minutes.
