.Net Framework Update Windows 10 25 February 2020 Quality and reliability improvements
CLR | Approach a problem with occasional deadlock or crashes that could happen if a garbage collection occurs. The issue takes place when another thread is executing NGen’ed code which implements the initial call into a static method. This is done under the same module where one or more parameter types engage type-forwarded value types.
Common Language Runtime addresses rare crashes that could occur if Server Garbage Collection is enabled. A GC occurs while another thread is executing NGen’ed code which is making the initial call into NGen’ed code in a 2nd module where one or more parameter types engage value types defined in a 3rd module. The Runtime focuses on the problem of a crash that could happen in certain configurations that involve either multi-group machines or hot-added CPUs. In this, per-group CPU count is not consistent across all groups. Focuses on rare crash that can take place during the first call that native code makes into the managed portion of a mixed-mode DLL. |
Workflow | – Works on an accessibility problem where text inside a Windows Workflow Foundation Visual Basic Editor would don’t use the right colors in high contrast themes. |
Winforms | Addresses interaction between hosting WinForms app and WPF user control when using keyboard input.
Works on a problem getting accessible objects for “PropertyGridView ComboBox property” items – adding the verification for item existence and validity. Winforms focuses on a “WinForms” ComboBox control re-initialization in AD FS MMC UI problem. |
WCF2 | Windows Communication Foundation works on a problem that occurs when using the WCFNetTcp binding. In case, a client fails to respond during the connection handshake, sometimes a service will use the binding receive timeout instead of the open timeout. This patch confirms that the correct open timeout is used throughout the entire handshake. |
CLR refers to Common Language Runtime.
WCF indicates Windows Communication Foundation.
That’s all!!!
