Paying the service tax online is a process of net banking. Any payer can pay his service tax online with the help of mobile net banking.
The payer needs a bank account with net banking facility which is necessary to pay the tax.

For paying the service tax assessee has to visit his bank website first. On the home page of the bank website select personal banking.
And then access the secure area log in with net banking user id and password.
After such process, there will be an icon of E-TAX/TAX PAY, because Approx every bank gives the facility of paying the service tax online and every bank allows the net banking service. Now after clicking on E-TAX/TAX PAY a new page will appear.
In this page, all the central department and every state tax department is listed. You have to choose your central department or state tax department.

The jurisdictional commissionerate of tax department provides an exclusive assessee code (15 digit) to its every service tax payer. You have to enter your assessee code. As you enter the assessee code the system will check its validity.
After checking the code on the screen a form will appear. You have to fill this form with your name, address, commissionerate code, and other required data. You should keep going regularly with the system and feed the data as required.
At last when your service tax will be paid then an online counterfoil will generate, which is your receipt of service tax paid.

Click on given link and you will access to that page where you can pay your service tax easily. Now when the specific page opens it has a form. Firstly it will demand assessee code, image verification, duty/tax to be paid, type of duty/tax and last you have to select the bank from which you are related to. Completing it click on PROCEED button.
After proceeding you need to use your net banking user id and password. After all this process your service tax will be paid and according to this, an online counterfoil will generate which is your receipt of service tax payment.
