Release Preview channel of Windows Insider obtained a remarkably important update with Copilot. The rollout is KB5030310 which increases the version to Windows 11 Build 22621.2361. These include the introduction of Copilot in Windows (currently in preview), a revamped and modernized File Explorer, enhanced text authoring capabilities for voice access, the inclusion of new natural voices in Narrator, and an updated Windows Backup system. A more comprehensive list of features will be unveiled next week on September 26th.

If you have opted to receive the latest updates as soon as they become available, make sure the toggle is set to ON in your Settings under Windows Update prior to installing Build 22621.2361. By doing so, you will also receive the Windows Configuration Update (KB5030509) simultaneously with the installation of Build 22621.2361, all in one seamless reboot. It’s worth noting that only the update for Build 22621.2361 will be visible during the installation process on the Windows Update settings page. However, following the reboot, the Windows Configuration Update will be documented in your Update History. This particular update is instrumental in implementing new features through our Controlled Feature Rollout (CFR) technology.
In the event that you decide to install Build 22621.2361 without enabling the toggle for immediate updates, you can easily activate it afterward. This action will prompt the download of the Windows Configuration Update (KB5030509) onto your PC, necessitating a subsequent reboot. Alternatively, if you choose to install build 22621.2361 with the toggle switched off, the new features will be gradually introduced to your device over a period of time.
The preview of Copilot in Windows will initially roll out to a specific set of global markets. Our aim is to progressively expand its availability in the future.

- Click on Search and type updates.
- Windows Settings with concerned page will appear; make sure that “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” is turned on.
- A simple restart will install the update.
