Furthermore, there are several bug fixes included in this update such as File Explorer bugs, Windows Copilot, tabtip.exe crash, etc. KB5030316 is the Latest Cumulative Update that brings Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22631.2271 and 22621.2271.

- The Windows Ink enhancements, initially presented in Build 22631.2050, which allowed for inking directly onto edit fields, are temporarily being deactivated for Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel. This step is being taken while we address certain bugs that have affected the usability of this feature.

File Explorer
- KB5030316 LCU fixed an issue where the progress wheel in the tab would get stuck showing that File Explorer was loading a folder when the loading had already finished.
- Windows 11 Build 22631.2271 fixed an issue where rapidly opening two File Explorer windows might make explorer.exe crash.
- Resolved a problem that had the potential to cause explorer.exe to crash when navigating away from the Home.
- The beta build solved a situation where attempting to launch the Gallery after adding new images could lead to a crash.
- Implemented additional enhancements to enhance the launch performance of File Explorer, including resolving a memory leak that could gradually degrade performance.
- KB5030316 solved a problem where File Explorer sorting changes won’t stay in folders after you navigated away and back.
- Resolved a problem that could lead to incorrect icons being displayed in File Explorer tabs.
Windows Copilot
- In Windows 11 Build 22631.2271, a problem was solved where the Windows Copilot icon in the taskbar would appear mirrored for right-to-left languages.

- The deployment resolved a significant tabtip.exe crash that might have affected typing functionality in the last few flights.
Settings
- Fixed an issue where switching search to be an icon in Taskbar Settings could cause explorer.exe to crash.
Dev Drive
- Resolved a problem where it was not possible to paste a folder path into the dialog when creating a new Dev Drive.
Task Manager
- Resolved a problem where Task Manager could crash when utilizing the “End task” option in the Details page of recent builds.
HDR Wallpaper
- Resolved an intermittent explorer.exe crash associated with the utilization of an HDR wallpaper.
Other
- Resolved a problem where attempting to take window mode screenshots was capturing the entire screen instead of the focused app for certain Insiders.
