Windows 10 21H2, following the previous version, has also received a small function update to activate the new features. KB5003791 is the enablement package that changes Windows 10 21H1, 20H1, or 2004 to Windows 10 21H2 19044, still on the Vibranium code.
Microsoft will continue to support Windows 10 until October 2025 and it seems that it will be on the basis of OS build 19041. Until then Windows 10 will be seamlessly getting security patches and other quality updates. Because Microsoft has now formally released the enablement Package in the RP channel, all upcoming updates that are provided for Windows 10 2004 to 21H1 will also be for Windows 10 21H2 from now onwards.

In respect to the release of Windows 10 20H2 enablement package, Microsoft has already explained it. Windows 10 21H2 and 21H1, 2004, and 20H2 include an undifferentiated set of system files. Therefore, in Windows 10 21H2, new features are applied through monthly quality updates for Windows 10 201H1, 20H2, and 2004. They are in a dormant or inactive state until you enable them using this function update. KB5003791 enablement package is a master switch to activate Windows 10 21H2 features. This means that If you are Windows Insiders you don’t need to switch to the Release Preview channel (RP).

First of all, download the correct enablement package matching your system architecture. In most cases, it will be the 64-bit edition, but confirm if you are 32-bit, 64-bit, or running ARM64. Install the package and restart your computer.
Then click the Start, type winver, and press enter to see your new version of Windows 10, which should now say Version 21H2 Build 19044.1141, as in the screenshot at the starting of this post.
